20 instructions from the Dalai Lama

This 'life instructions' list from the Dalai Lama
has gone viral and I absolutely love it!
Here it is:

1.Take into account that great love and great achievements
 involve great risk.

2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three R’s:
-  Respect for self,
-  Respect for others and
-  Responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want
is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

6. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great relationship.

7. When you realize you’ve made a mistake,
take immediate steps to correct it.

8. Spend some time alone every day.

9. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.

10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and
think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

13. In disagreements with loved ones,
deal only with the current situation.
 Don’t bring up the past.

14. Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.

15. Be gentle with the earth.

16. Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which
 your love for each other
exceeds your need for each other.

18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

19. If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.

20. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.

What do you think? Do you have a favorite?

IBIZA!

On April 19th I will be taking off for Europe and I am so exited about it!
First of all I will see my family and friends that I haven't seen in a very long time, and as soon as I land I will be starting my love affair with food especially Pizza!!!!
I love my country's food more than anything else I have ever had the pleasure to taste...cappuccino, gelato, pizza, tortellini, tigelle, gnocco fritto, prosciutto, salame.....I could go on forever!
I love how even though in Milano time is money, and everybody is always on the run, there are some pleasures in life that we Italians cannot give up like sipping a cappuccino or espresso with some friends at the bar....mmm....I can almost taste it...
After a week in Milano, where my parents live, I will be flying to Ibiza where I will be spending 5 months  working as a massage therapist. And WOW am I exited for that one!
Is going to be a great adventure!
Ibiza 2011

One of my very best friends lives there for almost 10 years and I have been there several times, always just to visit and usually no longer than a week. Every time I leave that special Island I usually wonder what would happen if I stayed longer, this time I will know!
Ibiza is such a different place from anywhere you have ever been, it is part of Spain but truly has a mind of her own. It reminds me of Neverland...you can do whatever you want and be whoever you want...there are no rules and I am looking forward to a great summer time!

Hope everybody is having a great spring start...summer is just around the corner!!!
Stay tuned for updates on my traveling and awesome photos....
aloha :)

If people would get massaged more often, this world would be a better place!

I had a wonderful day and I love feeling happy and just appreciate the amazing gift that Life is!
First of all I had a doctor appointment, just a check up and we all forget how HEALTH is the most important thing we have and I am just so thankful that I am healthy and strong.
Than I went to trade massage with one of my massage therapist friend, and  realized that this world would be a better place if people would get massaged more often!
All you have to do is breathe relax and let go of all the worries.
It felt amazing!
I do believe I have the greatest job :)
Than I realized that the waves got here earlier than I thought so of course I went surfing and It was just amazing! The water is finally totally clean, waves were perfect and glassy... after I got in from the ocean this is what I got to see from my gazebo....

ALOHA to all and spreading the love universally!

12.Massage Therapy Improves Rehabilitation After Injury

Rehabilitating any injury can be a tiring and frustrating process. While the main goal of physical rehabilitation is to increase strength and flexibility, it often ends before the area has been returned to its full pre-injury state.
Massage plays an important role as a supplement to standard injury rehabilitation procedures. By encouraging circulatory movement and relaxing muscles, massage helps the body pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs. This allows the rehabilitating injured area(s) to become more flexible and heal at an accelerated rate.
Massage therapy is also used to aid in pain management as the injury is nursed back to full strength. By committing to a continual massage program, you can accelerate the recovery process after injuries are sustained. If you or someone you know has sustained an injury, a Massage Envy membership might be beneficial.

Benefits of Improved Rehabilitation

  • Supplements standard injury rehabilitation procedures
  • Helps the body pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissue and vital organs
  • Accelerates the rehabilitation process

So now that you find out all of the 12 reasons why massage therapy is good for you, what are you waiting for? which ever one is YOUR reason Lotus Massage by Francesca is gonna make you feel rejuvenated, refreshed and relaxed!

11.Massage Therapy Improves Post-Operative Surgical Rehabilitation

An important aspect of any surgical procedure is the post rehabilitation recovery process. It's during this process that natural movement is re-learned, and freedom of movement is re-enforced. Massage plays an important role as a supplement to standard rehabilitation procedures after surgery.
Spine surgeon Johnny C. Benjamin explains how massage can help promote healing.
"Massage is great in helping to bring blood and nutrients to the affected area to repair the soft tissue. Massage also can help break up scar tissue and keep the muscles supple so less scar tissue develops in the first place."
By increasing circulation while relaxing the muscles, massage can help the body pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs. This allows the surgical rehabilitating area(s) to become more flexible and heal at an accelerated rate.
Even when there's no injury, massage can helps athletes of all levels improve their flexibility and muscle suppleness. Our professional massage therapists can also stretch the muscles in trouble areas, promoting increased flexibility when the body is warm and more elastic.
When you book your massage, request a therapist experienced in sports massage, and ask that special attention be paid to any injured areas.
Benefits of Improved Post-Operative Surgical Rehabilitation
  • Assists the body in pumping more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs
  • Accelerates the surgical recovery process
  • Aids in improving joint movement and flexibility
Truly amazing!
